Snips and Snails

Where lies the beauty this solemnest night
That sparkles like marbles by graceful light
That whispers sweet nothings with deepest insight
Oh, when will the beauty of passion delight?

Famous pedophile bites the dust!

Michael Jackson
Entertainer Michael Jackson was rushed to UCLA Medical Center, after reportedly suffering a heart attack, early reports said….

UPDATE: 3:15 Pacific

L.A. Times has reported Mikey “officially” daid.

Jackson had been due to start a series of comeback concerts in London on July 13 running until March 2010. The singer, whose hits include “Thriller” and “Billie Jean,” had been rehearsing in the Los Angeles area for the past two months.

The shows for the 50 London concerts sold out within minutes of going on sale in March.

His lifetime record sales tally is believed to be around 750 million, which, added to the 13 Grammy Awards he received, makes him one of the most successful entertainers of all time.

He lived as a virtual recluse since his acquittal in 2005 on charges of child molestation.

Hear Katt Williams trash Mikey. Fucking FUNNY!

Tuff weekend: the staycation expands

Amber Jump
Tofino, or “Tuff” as the locals call it, is the perfect place to hang for a staycation long weekend. Whether your a surfer or not, you’ll enjoy its vast of expanse of beaches, laid back vibe and fresh ocean air. And ohhhh man, especially the fresh crab. Tofino is especially popular amongst Whistler folk, who adapt well to the ocean lifestyle. Hell, I even saw a Voleurz sticker in Cox Bay parking lot. That Whistler-based ski/snowboard film company sure gets around.

St-Jean-Baptiste Celebrations!

Popular annual celebrations take place in French Canada on 24 June (the feast day of St John the Baptist) or on the days before or after this date.

The Quebec Flag (Drapeau)

Following a tradition the origin of which is lost in antiquity, many people, among them the Gauls, lit fires to celebrate the summer solstice. According to the Jesuit Relations and the Journal des Jésuites, this tradition was revived on the banks of the St Lawrence in 1636. In 1646 the Journal reported that ‘on 23 June the fire for St-Jean was lit at half-past eight in the evening… One heard five cannon shots and two or three discharges from muskets.’

Stoked-back? Mountain (Ouch!!)

Three cowboys were seated around the campfire out on the lonesome sagebrush prairie and with the pride for which these men were famous; it was a night of bravado, a night of tall tales…

The (Automotive) Ties That Bind

Saturday afternoon, I drove an hour to my dad’s homestead, my daughter riding shotgun. Over four months have passed since I last spoke to my dad in person. I had only been at his place 5 minutes when he threw a magazine, dedicated to the history of the Camaro, in my face.

2010 CamaroFeatured within was the 2010 Camaro. Jesus, fuck! What a fucking beauty! He and I drooled over the full page photograph of a really slick, shiny black number for many long, silent moments. You see, cars are our “thing.”

Xplosive e-mail rocks the RCMP Taser inquiry!

Taser

New evidence contradicting RCMP police testimony has derailed a Canadian inquiry.
